About Margaret

Private piano lessons commenced for me at the early age of 4 and ever since music has been the central part of my life.

Behind the scenes was a long term dream to also learn the harp and so in 2001 I was lucky enough to take up lessons with Louise Johnson, who until recently was the Principal Harp of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Since then my musical world has totally opened with performances in orchestras and ensembles such as:

Australian Doctors Orchestra
Lismore Symphony Orchestra, Gold Coast Chamber Orchestra
Northern Rivers Symphony Orchestra, Summerland Brass Quintet

It has also provided the wonderful opportunity to accompany and perform with opera singer soloists and other instrumentalists and choirs.

Additionally, I am an accompanist for ballet schools (both RAD and Cecchetti).

Being able to play both instruments brings an enormous amount of joy to me and I am delighted that I can share this with you.

Sidney's Wedding

“Thank you so much for playing the harp at our wedding ceremony. Your presence created such a wonderful atmosphere. Walking down the aisle to the harp was such a memorable experience. My husband and I really appreciate all the effort you put into making sure the music was perfect on our special day.”

Our Wedding Day

"Maureen and I would like to express our sincere appreciation to you for helping to make our wedding day so very special with your elegant harp music. Your music added that romantic touch and a unique ambience to our day. The children were enchanted watching you play and the adults were enthralled by the beauty of your music. We could not have asked for more."
